I love the Hyve playset but as both a kid and now as an adult collector I find the interior of the Hyve pretty boring. (I always hated that forced perspective to-give-depth-to-flat-playset-walls crap toy companies would pull.) After watching all of the Sectaurs commercials on You Tube I thought about making a playset based on the climate control room seen in the live action cuts with the actors dressed as ancients. There are 6 ancients positioned around a glass dome with a miniature city in it when the cataclysm happens and "a civilization dies". Then I stumbled onto the Robo Force playset which has a little glass dome with a miniature city in it. I found a hammered one on the Bay for like $10 and when I got it found that the levels aren't quite tall enough to accomodate Sectaurs figures. So now I'm going to have to cut and extend the walls to make it tall enough. But this now will make the playset tall enough that the mezanene I want to build that will surround the glass dome will be as tall as the upper interior level of the Hyve, therefore giving me a place to connect the 2 playsets together. Yeah, one of about 100 projects I have going.

Sounds like quite the little project you have there. I come up with ideas like that all the time but I don't have the time for them so I don't even bother getting even that deep into it! Gonna have it done for the customs section by launch date?

Gonna have it done for the customs section by launch date? Yeah, don't hold your breath. I've procured the Robo Force playset and did some sketches, but that's about it.

Well at least it's a start! You're already further along than I am on most of my projects. Most of them haven't even left my head yet

Sadly no. Personal projects gave way to professional projects some time ago. Still have all the parts to make it happen though.
